After School Program Community Science and Technology Resource Center Summer Camp Program Partnerships Library Thanksgiving Baskets Annual Christmas Party Annual Scholarship Program Volunteers Each year, Shaw Community Ministry provides Thanksgiving food baskets to low-income families in the Shaw Community.  Congregations of the Potomac Association of the United Church of Christ donate turkeys and other food to provide dinners for more than 150 families. Many United Church of Christ congregations make generous financial donations to ensure that every family has enough food for the holiday. Shaw Community Ministry is a member of the Capital Area Food Bank allowing the Ministry to provide food for families in case of an emergency.
